A special edition 500GB Xbox 360 bundle that includes a blue console, blue controller, and copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II will launch on October 7. That’s according to a Wal-Mart ad scan posted in the Blu-ray forums.
The bundle will reportedly be exclusive to Wal-Mart. We have reached out to Microsoft for more details about the bundle, and will update this post with anything we hear back.
The special edition Xbox 360 bundle wouldn’t the first console made available exclusively at Wal-Mart. Just last week, Nintendo announced that Wal-Mart will be the exclusive retailer for a new Wii U system bundle that includes a copy of juggernaut racing game Mario Kart 8.
The Xbox 360 currently comes in 4GB and 250GB options. If the 500GB system is indeed real, it would be the first time Microsoft offered the console with a hard drive of that size. Just last month, however, Microsoft started selling 500GB hard drives for $110.
The Xbox One, of course, has a built-in 500GB hard drive. In November, Microsoft will release a 1TB Xbox One console in a bundle with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
