Shadowrun: Hong Kong Gets First Trailer and Screenshots

Developer Harebrained Schemes has released the first trailer and screenshots for its upcoming role-playing game, Shadowrun: Hong Kong. The studio has also published a Steam page, where you can pre-purchase the game for $20, a 33 percent markdown from the $30 launch price.

The images and trailer show off Hong Kong’s varied environments, ranging from busy city streets to what appears to be a restaurant where people are having a very violent food fight. You can check out the trailer below and the new screenshots at the bottom of this post.

In addition, Harbrained Schemes announced that Hong Kong is approaching a critical milestone–feature complete–ahead of its release this summer. A developer explains in an update to the game’s Kickstarter page that the underlying code is basically finalized, and all that’s left to do is make various bug fixes and tweaks, and apply polish for the duration of development.

On top of that, Harebrained Schemes has announced a sale for the developer’s two previous games, Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall. They are available now on Steam for $3 and $4.50, respectively. The sale is good through Monday, May 25.

Pre-buying Hong Kong on Steam right now also automatically upgrades you to the Deluxe Edition. This comes with an .mp3 soundtrack and an Art of Shadowrun: Hong Kong digital book.

Hong Kong was successfully funded on Kickstarter earlier this year, reaching its $100,000 target in a matter of hours. The campaign closed with more than $1.2 million from over 31,000 backers.
