Driveclub Dev Teases "Big Surprises" for PS4 Racer

PlayStation 4 racing game Driveclub may have gotten off to a tough start, but the title has now sold more than 2 million copies. Developer Evolution Studios has supported the game with lots of new content and updates, and that’s not going to stop anytime soon as the game rides into its second year.

“Driveclub is gearing up for another big year and we want you to help us shape it,” Evolution community manager Jamie Brayshaw said in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “The community, the game, and the servers are all really strong and there’s plenty of new features and updates coming to the game.”

Brayshaw said Evolution will continue to add more content to Driveclub on a monthly basis. The developer has “loads” of content in mind, including new features such as private multiplayer lobbies, as well as more modes, tracks, and cars. Brayshaw also teased that Evolution has “some big surprises” planned for Driveclub.

As Evolution has said before, community feedback is critical to Evolution as it plans out future updates for Driveclub. To that end, Brayshaw encouraged players to send their feedback to Evolution through the PlayStation forums, @Driveclub on Twitter, and on the Driveclub Facebook page.

Brayshaw also provided a list of some new features that Evolution is working on right now for Driveclub.

  • Fully customizable multiplayer lobbies
  • Mew difficulty options
  • More tracks
  • Community events
  • Extra Photo Mode options
  • Fine-tuning for drift mode
  • Smarter notifications

Finally, as a “thank you” to fans for “staying with us,” Evolution has launched a Double XP event for Driveclub across the main game and the free PlayStation Plus edition that finally arrived earlier this summer. This event starts now and runs through Monday, August 24.
