Smartwatch manufacturer Pebble has unveiled its latest device, the Pebble Time Round.
The latest addition to the Pebble line adopts the round face of traditional wrist-worn timepieces, but the watch is only 7.5 mm thick and weighs 28 grams. For comparison, the Apple Watch is 10.5 mm thick.
Bands for the new watch come in 20 mm or 14 mm in black, silver, and in 14 mm only, rose-gold. However, metal bands are scheduled for release later this year.
The company also claims the new watches are splash-resistant “for rainy days,” and that the watch features “days-long battery life” with just a 15-minute charging period.
However, Fortune reports that expected battery life is specifically around two days, which beats the Apple Watch but falls short of other smartwatches on the market.
The Pebble Time Round will release for $249 at US and Canadian retailers beginning in early November, with UK coming later in the year and an EU release early 2016.
