Singer Who Destroyed Star Wars Battlefront Disc and Called Game "Piece of Sh*t" Still Hates It

Breaking Benjamin frontman Benjamin Burnley is again talking about how much he hates Star Wars Battlefront. In case you missed it, he recently destroyed a copy of the “piece of sh*t” game after he was asked to talk positively about it on his social media channels. Now, radio station 94.3 WCYY has caught up with Burnley and asked why the self-described Star Wars fan can’t stand Battlefront. Check out the video interview below, but note that there is quite a lot of swearing in it.

“For me to say that a Star Wars game sucks sh*t, it must really be a sh*tty game, and that it is,” Burnley explains.

The 37-year-old is a big Star Wars fan. He was wearing Star Wars shoes during the interview and went as The Force Awakens bad guy Kylo Ren for Halloween.

In this new interview, he reiterates that he was asked by a group presumably representing EA to talk positively about the game on his social media channels. He said he’d be happy to do that, but only if he enjoyed it. Obviously he didn’t.

“It f**king sucks. The gameplay sucks,” he said. “All online games suck in their own kind of way, because you’re relying on the Internet.”

EA has not responded to GameSpot’s requests for comment.

Burnley then launches into why he thinks the game is no fun. His reasons include, in his estimation, poor spawn placement, overpowered weapons, a lack of a rewards system, bad hit-detection, and Hero/Villain gameplay that is no fun.

“It’s just not fun,” he says about the overall Battlefront experience.

At the start of the video, Burnley punches an Xbox One that’s set up in the Breaking Benjamin dressing room. You can also see that he’s been playing Halo 5: Guardians and Fallout 4. Breaking Benjamin’s “Blow Me Away” is featured on the Halo 2 official soundtrack.

EA probably isn’t sweating Burnley’s comments too much, if at all. The game broke sales records for EA and the publisher claims Battlefront enjoyed the strongest launch of any Star Wars game in history.
