Assassin’s Creed Movie Viral Campaign Begins

The Assassin’s Creed movie Twitter account today posted its first new message in over a month. The tweet, which reads “12.21.16.” includes an image of a business card for Alan Rikkin. He’s the CEO of the fictional Abstergo Industries from the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

If you call the US number seen on the card, 1-646-845-9162, you’ll hear a voicemail from Mr. Rikkin. We won’t spoil it for you–if you’re interested, dial the number and you can hear the message for yourself.

In his own tweet, Assassin’s Creed content director Azaïzia Aymar suggested there may be some hidden clues to discover with the business card.

December 21, 2016 is the date that the Assassin’s Creed movie is scheduled to come to theaters. That’s just one week after the release of the first Star Wars spinoff movie Star Wars: Rogue One.

In other recent news about the Assassin’s Creed movie, some on-set images showing off Michael Fassbender in costume leaked earlier this month. The movie is directed by Justin Kurzel, who recently helmed Macbeth, which also featured Fassbender in the lead role.

His Macbeth co-star Marion Cotillard will also appear in the Assassin’s Creed movie, alongside Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael Kenneth Williams
