Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Lego Marvel Avengers has dethroned Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to take the top spot on the UK chart for the week ending January 30.
According to sales monitor Chart-Track, Lego Marvel Avengers is the eighth Lego game in the series’ history to reach the No.1 position. The last game, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, only managed to reach as far as No.2 in its debut week.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 moves down one spot to No.2, ahead of FIFA 16 at No.3, Rainbow Six: Siege at No.4, and Star Wars Battlefront at No.5.
Elsewhere on the chart Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain returned to the top ten thanks to retailer promotions. It moves from No.24 to No.8. Square Enix’s latest release, Final Fantasy Explorers, narrowly missed out on a top ten debut, instead settling at No.11.
