“Regrettable Mistake”
An awesome trailer for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released this week. Naughty Dog called it potentially the best trailer it’s ever made. But there was one big problem. The video used concept art from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Sony acknowledged the “regrettable mistake” and removed that portion from the trailer. [Full story]
Mods Soon
Fallout 4’s PC mod tools, the Creation Kit, will be released in April, according to director Todd Howard. Some mods will come to Xbox One later, followed by PlayStation 4 sometime after that. [Full story]
New Pokemon!
During a Nintendo Direct on Friday, The Pokemon Company officially announced Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. The games will launch this holiday for Nintendo 3DS. [Full story]
Hammer Storm
Halo 5’s latest free update, Hammer Storm, arrived this week, bringing with it a new map, Grifball, and lots of new Reqs. Not only that, but Microsoft teased its future expansions, confirming that Firefight mode will return sometime in the future. [Full story]
Party!
The Division is set in New York City and that’s also where Microsoft will hold a big launch party for Ubisoft’s game. On the evening of Monday, March 7, Microsoft is inviting people to the Microsoft Flagship Store on Fifth Avenue. The party starts at 9 PM EDT, and there will be food, music, prizes, and special guests like Major Nelson. All the important details can be found here.
“Worst Game of All Time”
The BBC has a cool story up about Howard Scott Warshaw, the Atari designer who worked on E.T.–the “worst game ever,” according to some people. In the story, Warshaw describes the events leading up to the game’s release and what went wrong–and right.
Someone’s Dad
Here is a video of someone’s dad recreating the summons’ from Final Fantasy VII. No words, just watch.
Maybe Next Time
Video game movies don’t have a great track record when it comes to quality. But it may not be that way forever. Here’s a good interview Polygon did with people involved in the space, Roy Lee and Adrian Askarieh, who talked about how video game movies can, like comic book movies, rise from mediocrity to excellence…or something like that.
Forged IRL

Rumors
This is only a rumor, but it’s an interesting one. According to NintendoLife, EA and Nintendo are planning to hold discussions about future NX game development. A lot more info is available here.
Looking Back
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was an excellent game, and it’s coming out again with an HD version for Wii U. Ahead of its launch, Nintendo is rolling out a retrospective video series, starting with this video featuring producer Eiji Aonuma. The second episode covers story and characters.

Bank Limit
2016 is poised to be the year of VR and now Alaska-based developer Tastee Beverage Studios has announced a new combat racing game called Bank Limit: Advanced Battle Racing. It will launch March 28 with Oculus Rift and has been in development for over two year. You can learn more about the game in this teaser trailer
Oryx in Minecraft
Someone made Destiny bad guy Oryx in Minecraft–and it looks awesome. You can learn more about the creation here.
LAX
Casey Powell Lacrosse is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC–and soon. The game will be available on all three platforms on March 9, the famous lacrosse player has announced.
Party Time!
Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance developer Platinum Games recently celebrated its 10th anniversary as a studio with a big party. Lots of famous Japanese developers attended, including Hideo Kojima, Shinji Mikami, and Goichi Suda, among many others. You can see all the party photos here at DualShockers.
Adorbs
Blizzard’s Overwatch franchise is getting its own line of Pop! toys. Included in the initial wave are toys for Tracer, Reaper, Widowmaker, and Winston. You can see even more images here.
Let Me Be Your Hero
Three new characters of Gearbox’s Battleborn have been announced. They are Shayne and Aurox, Whiskey Foxtrot, and Kelvin. In all, Battleborn will offer 25 playable characters at launch. You can learn more about the three new ones in this blog post.
