Rainbow Six Siege cheaters, beware. Ubisoft has announced that it is bolstering its efforts to reduce instances of cheating in the team-based tactical shooter by making changes to its algorithms.
As explained in the game’s forums, Ubisoft will expand its criteria to seek out possible cheaters. Anyone identified as a cheat will get yanked from the match–but the punishment doesn’t end there.
“In order to increase our efforts to counter cheating in Rainbow Six Siege, we will be expanding our criteria to identify potential cheaters,” Ubisoft explained. “If identified as a potential cheater, that player will be immediately removed from the game and receive a temporary suspension.”
Ubisoft has been taking aim at Rainbow Six Siege cheaters for some time now. Most recently, the developer deployed a patch earlier this month that focused on cheating, exploits, and spawn-killing.
In other news about Rainbow Six Siege, the game’s upcoming expansions will reportedly be themed around operators from the United States, Brazil, and Japan.
