Rocket League‘s basketball mode was announced in early March, and now we know the soccer-with-cars game will bring it on the court next month.
The Rocket League Twitter account announced that the basketball mode, Dunk House, will arrive in April. The announcement was accompanied by what I can only assume is the Rocket League equivalent of a slam dunk–unfortunately, I don’t think you’ll be able to shatter the backboard. We’ve contacted Rocket League developer Psyonix for more details on Dunk House and will update this story as additional information becomes available.
In related news, Psyonix said it has figured out Xbox One and PS4 cross-platform play, though that doesn’t mean it’s happening just yet. You can also check out GameSpot’s interview with Psyonix VP Jeremy Dunham, in which we talk about the success of Rocket League and tackling cross-play between three platforms.
