Up and Up
Grand Theft Auto V continues to soar. Take-Two announced this week that the game has now shipped an incredible 65 million copies, which is up 5 million from three months ago. This achievement is particularly impressive when you consider the game is more than two years old. [Full story]
“Forging Ahead”
Microsoft made a pretty cool announcement this week about Halo 5 and PC. While Halo 5 the game is not coming to PC, the game’s extensive Forge modding tools are. People with a Windows 10 PC will be able to make levels and modes on PC and then publish them on Xbox One. The Forge tools for PC will be completely free when they launch later this year. Take a Trip to Post-Apocalyptic Maine
Fallout 4’s third expansion, Far Harbor, launched this week on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The DLC is set in a post-apocalyptic version of Maine’s Bar Harbor tourist destination. It represents the largest landmass Bethesda has ever created for a piece of DLC, and there are new quests to explore and creatures to kill. You can get Far Harbor today for $25 or via the $50 Fallout 4 DLC pass. [Full story]
Like an Open-World Half-Life
The new Homefront game that launched this week, The Revolution, aims to be an open-world Half Life, according to director Hasit Zala. Read the full interview here.
Massively Cool
You can now play a demo of Massive, the technology that brought to life the mass-scale fight scenes from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy. Check it out here.

Revving Up
Digital Foundry has posted its thorough analysis of the recently released PC version of racing game Forza 6. The verdict? It’s looking good–and performing better than the Xbox One version, at least on strong enough PCs.
A New Milestone
Super Mario Maker has hit another milestone. The Wii U game has now sold more than 3.5 million copies, while players have created more than 7.2 million courses. Check out the big numbers in this Nintendo Twitter post.
Britney
Glu Mobile, the developer of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, this week added to its lineup of celebrity-driven mobile games when it launched its Britney Spears title. It’s called American Dream and you can read all about it here.
Armed Forces Sale
Video game retailer GameStop is running an Armed Forces Sale this weekend. All military personnel and veterans with an ID can save 15 percent on everything seen here.
Heroes of Incredible Tales
NAT Games, the studio founded by Lineage II and Tera designer Yong-Hyun Park, this week announced that its hack-and-slash mobile RPG Heroes of Incredible Tales will debut this summer. The game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and looks quite impressive. See it here:
