Video game retailer GameStop has announced that its recent charity drive to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brought in $760,000. The month-long event ran from May 27 to June 30; people could donate at GameStop and ThinkGeek’s physical and online stores. Additionally, GameStop subsidiaries Kongregate and Game Informer ran campaigns to support the charity effort.
This was GameStop’s fourth annual donation campaign to benefit St. Jude, which helps advance the research and treatment of childhood cancer. To date, GameStop has raised more than $5 million for St. Jude since it fist partnered with the organization in 2013.
“Our customers and associates continue to show their giving spirit through the generous donations they made to help the children of St. Jude,” GameStop investor relations VP Matt Hodges said in a statement. “On behalf of everyone at St. Jude, we would like to thank our customers for donating and supporting this year’s campaign. Every penny we raised will go toward helping kids fight cancer.”
Though this charity drive has ended, ThinkGeek is extending the availability of its “St. Jude superhero” t-shirt through the end of July. The shirt costs $20 ($12 of which goes to St. Jude) and is available in children and adult sizes. You can buy the shirt on ThinkGeek’s website.

GameStop also supports charities like Ronald McDonald Houses and Make-A-Wish, which it donated $1.2 million to in 2015 as part of its latest campaign. More recently, GameStop raised $1.2 million in April 2016 as part of its first-ever Autism Awareness Month campaign.
