A Close-Up Look at the Costumes from Star Wars Rogue One
San Diego Comic Con is home to a plethora of cosplayers, statues, and figures of iconic Star Wars characters. However, the Star Wars booth showed off something else this year: life-size versions of the costumes donned by the principle characters from the upcoming film. We also got a glimpse of the recently revealed “Edrio Two Tubes.” Browse through the following slides to see them in further detail.
Jyn Erso
The protagonist of the upcoming film has what appears to be a more lightweight outfit, ideal for stealth and infiltration.
Captain Cassian Andor
Andor’s outfit is slightly heavier than Jyn Erso’s, and appears to be equipped for cold weather environments.
Chirrut Imwe
Imwe’s garb is reminiscent of a monk’s, albeit with loose-fitting cloth allowing him to be a physical combatant, as evidenced by his staff-twirling in the first Rogue One trailer.
Baze Malbus
Malbus favors heavy weapons over other forms of combat, and his heavier armor feeds into his direct approach.
Bodhi Rook
As the best pilot in the group, Rook’s outfit is more varied and technical, perhaps for mechanical issues and vehicular purposes.
Director Orson Krennic
As the villain of the upcoming film, Krennic’s outfit is nothing short of brazen–it makes him at the center of attention immediately.
Edrio Two Tubes
Most likely a placeholder for his actual name, this newly revealed character is a Tognath bounty hunter whose outfit is an amalgation of Imperial, Tusken Raider, and Rebel garb.
Death Squad Trooper
The black troopers flanking Director Orson Krennic can be seen in the original Rogue One trailer.
