Animal Crossing: New Leaf sticks around in second.
Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has secured a second week at the top of the UK gaming chart.
The Last of Us debuted in first last week, claiming the biggest launch for a new IP since Rockstar’s L.A. Noire in 2011. Naughty Dog’s latest was also the third-biggest game launch of 2012, following Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite.
Nintendo’s 3DS-exclusive Animal Crossing: New Leaf scored its second week at No. 2, and FIFA 13 climbed back up to third.
Tomb Raider was fourth, with Max Payne 3 resurging to fifth thanks to prince promotions. Shop discounts also allowed Call of Duty: Black Ops II to climb eight places and finish sixth.
Far Cry 3 was seventh, Injustice eighth, and Assassin’s Creed III ninth. Codemasters’ Grid 2, which debuted in the charts at first three weeks ago, drops to tenth.
PQube’s MotoGP 13 was the only new release in the chart this week, entering at 15th.
