GTAV PC petition reaches 100,000 signatures

Online petition adds 50,000 signatures in two days calling on Rockstar to release open-world action game for PC.

The Change.org petition calling on Rockstar Games to release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V now stands at over 100,000 signatures. This is a marked increase from the 50,000 the petition had amassed just two days ago.

The petition says it is a “big shame” that GTAV is not announced for PC, specifically calling out the modding community being a “huge part” of PC gaming.

“Modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have,” a line from the petition reads.

Rockstar Games has not officially acknowledged the petition, and a representative was not immediately available to comment.

Last week, Rockstar Games cofounder Dan Houser said PC and Wii U versions of GTAV were “up for consideration.” The most recent entry, 2008’s Grand Theft Auto IV, released for PC seven months after the console versions shipped.

GTAV is officially due out during spring 2013 only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
