Fable Anniversary debuts third in the UK charts

Fable Anniversary, Microsoft and Lionhead’s Xbox 360 remake of 2004’s original Fable, has debuted at third place in the UK charts.

The game was bested in the charts by FIFA 14, which reclaims the number one slot, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Last week’s number one, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, slips to fourth place.

The rest of the top ten was made up of all the usual suspects: Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Grand Theft Auto V, Battlefield 4, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

“Fable Anniversary sings a fine rendition of the original’s victories,” wrote Kevin VanOrd in GameSpot’s Fable Anniversary review. “Your interactions with the populace aren’t limited to the kind involving a bow or a sword.”
