Titanfall, the upcoming multiplayer shooter from Respawn Entertainment, has gone gold–meaning development is finished and it’s headed to mass production.
“We’re gold!!!!!!,” Respawn Entertainment wrote on Twitter last night. Accompanying the enthusiastic tweet was an image of the Xbox One version packaged and ready to go.
Titanfall launches March 11 for Xbox One and PC, while the Xbox 360 version is slated to arrive on March 25. It’s unclear if that version, developed externally at Bluepoint Games, has also gone gold.
Developed by a team of former Call of Duty veterans including Infinity Ward cofounder Vince Zampella, Titanfall is expected to be one of 2014’s biggest games. The game is coming only to Xbox and PC thanks to an exclusive arrangement with Microsoft.
Titanfall runs in 792p on Xbox One and requires a 20GB install.
On March 11, Titanfall fans can not only pick up a copy of the game, but also a special $500 Xbox One bundle and a $65 limited-run controller. For more on Titanfall, be sure to read GameSpot’s new feature The Next Big Game: Titanfall.
