Veteran game designer Peter Molyneux, who created well-known franchises like Dungeon Keeper and Fable, plans to keep on working until the day he dies.
“I’m not retiring–I’m just gonna die,” Molyneux told Kotaku in a wide-ranging profile on the acclaimed designer. “I don’t know what life is without making games.”
Of course, Molyneux is known for his hyperbolic statements–and that point is the focus of Kotaku’s profile of the 54-year-old. Still, Molyneux’s passion for gaming and the projects he’s involved with is well-documented and it wouldn’t be surprising if he worked well into old age.
Molyneux quit Microsoft in 2012 and is currently heading up independent UK studio 22Cans, where he is working on Godus, a spiritual successor to Populous that was funded through Kickstarter.
