That didn’t take long. A Titanfall player has reportedly hit the maximum level in the new first-person shooter, investing over three full days into the title since it was released last Tuesday.
Reddit user DownTuClown says it took 3 days, 9 hours, and 5 minutes of playtime to reach Generation 10 in Titanfall, which is the game’s version of the maximum Prestige level in Call of Duty. In advancing to the next Generation, levels are reset and unlocks are wiped, although the game says players will then accrue experience at a faster rate.
“Most of the people I played with were individuals I met in random games,” wrote DownTuClown on Reddit. “A couple of others are long time friends. There were less than a handful of times we communicated ‘seriously’. Those were mostly CTF games against people with clan tags we got matched up against. And some random times where we just wondered what it’d feel like to try and coordinate seriously. It was mostly just a group of guys talking about random stuff like latest episodes of The Walking Dead. So it was mostly individual skill I’d say.”
“My kill stats aren’t bad but I don’t feel they’re a good reflection of my skill which they would almost certainly be used for. I had to go out of my way to do certain challenges and those certainly affected my stats in a negative way. I played strictly to progress quickly rather than to have good stats.”
Over half of the playtime was spent in the Attrition gametype, and two-thirds of the impressive Titanfall career was spent as a Pilot.
MP1st reports that there are no in-game leaderboards to corroborate the claims, but Respawn CEO Vince Zampella took to Twitter to congratulate DownTuClown on his accomplishment.
“Congrats @DownTuClown on gen 10,” said Zampella. “You are a madman!”
