Xbox One ushers in a new era as first ID@Xbox game arrives

April 8, 2014. That’s the day we’ll look back on as the day on which Microsoft ushered in a new era for the Xbox One, launching the first game through its indie self-publishing program, ID@Xbox.

The first ID@Xbox game is Born Ready Games’ dogfighting game Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut, available to buy today for $20. Set in the year 2299, Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut has players controlling a transformable “Strike Suit” which you’ll need to use effectively to save Earth from destruction.

Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut features 13 total missions and six craft, including three Strike Suits. You can also upgrade your Strike Suit and customize your weapon load-outs. You can read more about the game on the Xbox Wire.

If you’re in the Boston area this week, you can play Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut at Microsoft’s pre-PAX East meetup at the Natick Mall in Natick, Mass. Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut is one of the 25 ID@Xbox games for Xbox One that Microsoft announced last month.
