Microsoft’s director of Xbox Live programming, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, will speak this week at his high school’s graduation ceremony in Connecticut, he revealed today on Twitter. It’s unclear which high school Hryb graduated from or when the event will take place.
Many high schools in Connecticut get out this week.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Hryb spent more than a decade working as the director of promotions at Clear Channel for WKSS in Hartford during the ’90s. WKSS is one of the better-known radio stations in Connecticut and Hryb appeared on-air earlier this year when he came to Connecticut to open the new Microsoft store at the Westfarms Mall.
Hryb is a technology and media veteran, and his product–Xbox–is no doubt played by many of those who will be in attendance during the speech. Suffice it so say, he’ll have plenty of material to cover during his graduation address.
My graduation speaker was a former member of the Blue Man Group. Who was yours?
