Less than 24 hours after Bungie shut down Destiny’s treasure cave–a destination that players could visit to reap great rewards without much effort–players have discovered another.
In the video above from PS4Trophies, it is revealed that players can find another loot-farming location at the Rocketyard area of Old Russia on Earth. Enemies spawn here every six seconds–just like the original Skywatch treasure cave.
You can blast the baddies from afar, and then when you run out of ammo, just proceed to where your enemies fell to replenish your stock and to claim all manner of loot.
Bungie has not yet commented publicly on this new loot cave. Don’t expect it to last long, however, as the developer feels loot caves aren’t in the spirit of Destiny. Explaining why it shut down the first loot cave yesterday, Bungie wrote: “shooting at a black hole for hours on end isn’t our dream for how Destiny is played.”
In addition to closing the first loot cave, Bungie announced yesterday that it plans to make major changes to Destiny in the days and weeks ahead. These include tweaks to Strike bosses, letting players opt into voice chat, and general weapon balancing.
