We’d like to thank all the BlizzCon attendees as well as those who took time to watch the action from afar. We had an incredible time with the Blizzard community, and we hope you enjoyed everything we had to share with you. We announced Overwatch, the third installment of StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, a brand-new expansion for Hearthstone – Goblins vs Gnomes, closed beta for Heroes of the Storm, and so much more. We also witnessed some truly epic cosplay, community talents, and pin-trading madness, as well as the StarCraft II, Hearthstone, and World of Warcraft World Championships, and the Heroes of the Storm exhibition tournament.
Our second day at BlizzCon was filled with action-packed eSports finales and events that culminated in rock legends Metallica closing out the show in one final crescendo.
Beyond what occurred on the show floor, we also witnessed old and new friends meeting up, sometimes face-to-face for the very first time. These are the bonds that make BlizzCon truly special for all of us involved. Thank you for being a part of creating a truly spectacular event.
However, this isn’t the end of the road. Make sure to keep tabs on all of the ongoing developments for your favorite Blizzard games. If you’re a World of Warcraft fan and didn’t get to ask a question during the panel Q&As, be sure to join us on the World of Warcraft Twitch channel Wednesday, November 12 at 20:00 CET for a live Q&A with developers. We’ll put up a post in the World of Warcraft forums with details (including how to submit your questions) soon.
Remember that you can still catch up on BlizzCon or re-live the action for the next two weeks with a Virtual Ticket. Watch the show online with on-demand access to all our developer panels, contests, and activities, as well as the closing ceremony concert featuring Metallica! In addition, everyone who purchases a Virtual Ticket will receive a digital goodie bag with some special gifts.
We hope everyone had a great time at BlizzCon 2014, and we wish those traveling home a safe journey. Until we meet again at the next BlizzCon!
