Are you unable to access Share Play on PlayStation 4 right now? You’re not alone, as Sony today acknowledged that a bug is preventing some gamers from using the new feature.
Some PS4 owners are currently unable to access SharePlay — we are investigating. The error message displayed on PS4 is inaccurate.

Share Play was introduced to PS4 through the recent 2.00 update. The feature allows users to share games with friends over the Internet, though some publishers have chosen to block access to it.
The PS4’s 2.00 update has led to some serious and significant bugs, impacting the beta for Evolve and leading to crashed systems for some related to the new Rest Mode.
Sony has been quick to fix the issues, however, releasing new updates in the form of 2.01 and 2.02. The company has also apologized for the issues, while at the same time acknowledging that Sony is “not bulletproof” when it comes to such network problems.
