Wyatt Shares His Stories

Our “Story Time with Wyatt” chat session at BlizzCon was a great opportunity for designer Wyatt Cheng to share his insights into game design philosophy with players. Drothvader was there for the discussion, and wrote a helpful forum post with the questions people asked and Wyatt’s philosophical responses on things like sets, damage in Greater Rifts and Legendary Items, among other things.

What Should Be Changed For Season 2?

We shared new info about what's in store for Season 2, and heard some great feedback from all of you. Starbird from our forums also share the things he’d like to see in the next Season, and asked others to pitch in their thoughts.

What Would You Add to The End Game?

Papaya brought up the idea of new end-game objectives, including monster arenas and a “Capture The Flag” mode. He also asked for the community’s take on it. There are lots of ideas for what people want added to the end-game for Diablo III – but which ideas are best?

If you could add anything to make the end-game more fun, what would it be?

What Future Powers Would You Add for 4 Piece Sets?

As Wyatt mentioned during his Story Time discussion, the development team would like to improve existing 4 piece sets by making a 6 piece version for each of them. Forum member imscoobydoo has already started a thread to brainstorm what new powers players would like to see on these revamped sets. Salzwer likes the idea of a ninja-themed power for Shadow’s Mantle, while Kara would add immunity to additional damage types to beef up Blackthorne’s Battlegear.
