Microsoft today announced a special promotion where it will let anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription play Xbox One game Sunset Overdrive free for 24 hours.
Starting tomorrow, November 22 at 12:01 AM Eastern, all subscribers can play the game for a period of 24 hours. The free time ends November 23 at 12:01 AM Eastern.
Users will have access to the full version of Sunset Overdrive, not just a demo or a slice of the game. As such, you’ll be able to earn achievements and save progress, so that if you decide to buy the full game, you’ll be able to pick up where you left off.
Microsoft adds that Sunset Overdrive’s eight-player multiplayer mode, Chaos Squad, will also be available during the free play period. However, you’ll need to play some of the campaign first to unlock the mode.
Following the free play weekend, Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac Games will reveal new weapons coming to the game soon during a special Twitch broadcast. This will take place Monday, November 24, at 10 AM Pacific.
