Gaming devices such as the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo 3DS were among the top-selling items at megaretailer Walmart on Cyber Monday, the company has announced. Strong sales of those devices helped this Cyber Monday, December 1, become the “biggest online day” in Walmart’s history in terms of total orders, the company said in a press statement.
The best-selling items on Walmart.com for Cyber Monday included:
- Apple iPad mini 16GB
- PS4 500GB Console Bundle with Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and LittleBigPlanet 3
- Nintendo 3DS XL New Super Mario Bros 2 Limited Edition Handheld
- Xbox One Assassins Creed Unity Bundle
- LG 49″ LED HDTV
- Skywalker Trampolines 12′ Round Trampoline and Safety Enclosure with Blue Spring Pad
- Lego Giant Creative Tower: 1,600 pieces with storage box
Walmart adds that shoppers made use of the company’s same-day store pickup option in great numbers this year. Performance was so strong in this area that Cyber Monday represented Walmart’s biggest day ever for same-day pickup, with total orders increasing 70 percent compared to last year.
The Walmart-exclusive Xbox 360 special edition Call of Duty bundle–which includes Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II for $250–was a top-seller in this category.
Walmart also disclosed some traffic trends for this year, saying shoppers viewed more than 1.5 billion pages on Walmart.com between November 27 and December 1, the five-day period the retailer is now called “The New Black Friday.”
Though Black Friday and Cyber Monday have ended, you can still score some pretty great deals through GameStop, which has extended its Cyber Monday deals through the end of the week.
