On an earlier Midweek Moshpit we got a chance to test out Star Armada II. The game is a hero battle where you take control of a ship in a great fleet featuring one of the three main StarCraft II races.
As you head out from your main battle station, you’ll be accompanied by smaller neutral units that flow out from your base. Taking down the enemy minion ships will help you gain resources that will allow you to purchase upgrades for shields, weapons and speed.
There is a sense of chaos created by the AI neutral units along with clusters of debris that act as a line of sight help to create the feeling that you are taking part of a wide-scale battle involving two massive air forces.
We really enjoy the variety of smart customizing options present but we would prefer if the game gave some solid suggestions about what to purchase. The amount of customization can almost feel overwhelming when selecting them in the heat of battle.
Star Armada II has thriving community forums where the creator is engaged and willing to take feedback. We suggest you play a few rounds and share your suggestions. Let us know what you think in the comments section as well.
