This week sees the addition of another entry into the LEGO series of games with the release of LEGO The Hobbit. The game is based on the first two Peter Jackson films in the Hobbit trilogy, An Unexpected Journey and Desolation of Smaug.
Players will be able to visit several locations from the universe including Bag End, Hobbiton, The Misty Mountains, Goblin-town, Mirkwood, and Rivendell. The game also introduces the ability to combine the abilities of the Dwarves to execute actions such as two-player attack, staff climb, mace swing and belly bounce. Players will also be able to access over 90 characters.
LEGO The Hobbit will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Vita.
For those looking forward to this year’s World Cup, FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 launches for the 360 and PS3 this week ahead of the event. The game will feature 203 National Teams, as well as Brazilian stadiums for fans to play in. The Impact Engine has also been upgraded from that of the FIFA 14 version on 360 and PS3, tweaked with increased accuracy during passes and a more forgiving first-touch mechanic.
Earlier this year developer EA Sports explained why the game will not be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
