Another actor has joined the cast of the Black Panther solo film. Creed star Michael B. Jordan’s role has not been confirmed, though The Hollywood Reporter says he could play the movie’s villain.
Jordan will appear alongside Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, while Star Wars actor Lupita Nyong’o is in talks to play the protagonist’s love interest. This also continues the trend of Jordan appearing in all of director Ryan Coogler’s movies, having starred in both Creed and Fruitvale Station.

This isn’t the first time Jordan has appeared in a superhero movie, either. He played the Human Torch in last year’s flop, The Fantastic Four, and voiced Cyborg in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
Some of Black Panther’s villains include White Wolf, Achebe, and Erik Killmonger. Two of the Wakandan hero’s villains have already appeared in Marvel films: mercenary Georges Batroc in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Ulysses Klaw in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Black Panther is set to hit theaters on February 2, 2018, while production will start early next year.
