Blizzard Costume Contest – Winners!

The world-renowned Blizzard Costume Contest took place today at gamescom and we saw some truly epic creations by contestants from all over Europe. We had an incredible number of participants this year – 39 in total, so many that we couldn’t even fit them all on stage at once!

The judging panel, made up of Blizzard game developers, had a tough time picking the finalists and ultimately the top three. As you can see, every contestant went away with some loot from our sponsors J!nx and Panini to recognize their heroic efforts in creating costumes and wearing them to gamescom.

In third place, winning a Diablo mouse, Diablo headset and Diablo mousepad, all by SteelSeries, plus a super-rare Tyrael statue, was Christiane L. for her costume of a Wizard from Diablo III. The costume was made of cotton, silk, leather, synthetic leather and various lining materials.

Just missing out on the first prize, but still going home with a fantastic AlienWare 14 laptop worth €2,000 courtesy of sponsors Dell, plus a SteelSeries WoW mouse and Tyrael statue, was Lisa L. as Sister Benedron, a powerful Human Priest from World of Warcraft.

But the judges’ favorite costume was this awesome mighty Barbarian from Diablo III, created and worn by Ralf Z. He was thrilled to be awarded the top prize of a trip for two to BlizzCon, taking place this year on November 8-9. This prize is courtesy of Blizzard and our sponsors J!nx and SteelSeries.

Congratulations to the winners!
