Activision has cut the price of some Call of Duty: Black Ops III microtransaction packages, but only for a limited time. Now through Monday, July 11, select Call of Duty Points bundles are marked down by as much as 30 percent across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Here is a brekadown:
- 2,400 Call of Duty Points — $16 (normally $20)
- 4,100 Call of Duty Points — $30 (normally $40)
- 10,300 Call of Duty Points — $70 (normally $100)
The 200- and 1,100-point bundles are not included in this sale; they still sell for $2 and $10 respectively.
Microtransactions originally came to Black Ops III in December 2015 through an update to the game’s Black Market store. Items in the store, including taunts, weapon camo, and more, are not available to buy on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
All of the Black Market items can be obtained through traditional gameplay. But if you want to get them right away, you can spend money on the Call of Duty Points. Activision gave out one-time gifts of 200 Call of Duty Points for everyone back in 2015.
In other news about Black Ops III, the game’s next expansion, Descent, comes to PlayStation 4 on July 12. It will be released for Xbox One and PC about a month later. The expansion includes the usual offerings such as more multiplayer maps, but this one mixes things up by featuring dragons and giant robots for the new Zombie campaign, Gorod Krovi.
