Supergirl is getting some help from her Kryptonian cousin on Season 2 of her CW series. Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman costume was revealed in a promotional image for the next season of Supergirl.
Hoechlin was cast back in June for the role of the Man of Steel, and EW releaved the image of his new costume, standing alongside Melissa Benoist, who plays the titular character, Supergirl.
The Teen Wolf actor will appear in the first two episodes this year, which moved from CBS to the CW between seasons. The two won’t see eye-to-eye right away, but it will be a learning experience for both superheroes.
Hoechlin isn’t the only big announcement for Season 2. Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the late 70s, will appear as the President of the United States. In addition, there is a December crossover planned for between The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It will be CW’s biggest crossover yet.
Season 2 of Supergirl kicks off on Monday, October 10 at 8PM.
