"Completely Reworked" Prey 2 and Unspecified Bethesda Remaster Could Be Announced at E3

Bethesda will announce Prey 2 and a remaster project during its E3 2016 briefing this coming Sunday. This is according to industry insider Shinobi602, who appeared on the MrMattyPlays podcast recently to make the claim.

“I would expect a remaster of sorts for something,” he said. Shinobi did not share any further details on what game might be getting the remaster treatment, but rumors online claim it could be The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

He also revealed that Bethesda will also announce Prey 2 at the briefing, though it won’t be called that. Shinobi said the game has been “re-worked completely,” and that the game will be similar to System Shock, though he did not offer any further specifics.

In October 2014, Bethesda confirmed that Prey 2 was canceled. “It was a game we believed in, but we never felt that it got to where it needed to be,” the developer said at the time.

GameSpot has contacted Bethesda in an attempt to get more details. We’ll report back with anything we hear from the company about these rumors.

Bethesda’s E3 2016 briefing is slated for Sunday, June 12, starting at 7 PM PST. Keep checking back with GameSpot in the coming days for more on the show.
