Custom Star Wars Xbox One Looks and Sounds Like The Force Awakens’ BB-8

The guy behind custom consoles such as the PlayStation 4 that looks like R2D2 and the PS4/Xbox One combo laptop has created a new custom Star Wars-themed console. This time, he’s created a new laptop-style Xbox One that features the look and sounds of The Force Awakens‘ ball droid, BB-8.

Console modder Eddie Zarick showed off the custom Xbox One in a YouTube video, in which he’s joined by BB-8 itself. Dubbed the Xbook One, it features built-in audio with custom BB-8 sounds, a 22-inch 1080p screen, and a custom controller that dons the orange-and-white paint job as well. Additionally, it can output to a television via HDMI.

Zarick sells the Xbook One on his website, though he has not said if the BB-8 custom console will be available for sale. If you want to get a non-Star Wars Xbook, then you’ll have to pay $1,195 at the bare minimum–at this price, you’ll also have to provide the Xbox One. He sells versions of it with Kinect and HDMI Out for an extra cost. You can check it out for yourself here.

Other consoles Zarick has made include one that combines an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One, which at the time solved backwards compatibility between the two consoles. The Xbox One now supports the playing of Xbox 360 games without having to mod your console, and you can see the full list of backwards-compatible games right here.
