PlayStation Japan has announced pricing details for its upcoming limited edition Dark Souls III themed PlayStation 4 console bundles launching in Japan. The console bundles were first revealed earlier this year and will be released on March 24. They will be available in two versions: the Cinder Knight version and the Elite Knight version. Each version has two faceplate options, jet black or silver.
The jet black Cinder Knight and Elite Knight versions will be priced at ¥48,410 plus tax ($428.90), and the silver versions will be priced at ¥49,410 plus tax ($437.74) for the 1TB model. The 500GB console model will cost ¥43,410 plus tax ($384.53) for the jet black versions, and ¥44,410 plus tax ($393.40) for the silver versions.
Each bundle will include the chosen console, a copy of Dark Souls 3 for PS4, Dark Souls 3 PS4 theme, disc sleeve, and soundtrack. The bundle has unfortunately not yet been announced for regions outside of Japan.
Publisher Bandai Namco has already revealed a $24.99 Season Pass for the upcoming game, which can be pre-ordered on its own on Steam or the Xbox Marketplace. PS4 owners can opt to pick up the Season Pass as part of a bundle. No details have been revealed as to what content the Season Pass will grant access to, just that it will contain two different downloadable content packs which feature new maps, bosses, enemies, and more weapon and armour sets.
Dark Souls 3 will be released in Japan on March 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will launch worldwide on April 12. A free copy of the original Dark Souls will be included with all digital pre-orders on the Xbox One. We recently got hands on with Dark Souls III–check out our preview for more on how the game plays.
