Coming This Year
E3 2016 featured an assortment of exciting games that are set launch this year. With so many to keep track of, we’ve compiled all of them here for your convenience. Click ahead to see what you have to look forward to playing this year.

Titanfall 2
Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming Titanfall sequel is finally confirmed to release on October 28. As the first game to feature a single-player campaign, it puts you in control of Jack Cooper–a Rifleman pilot–as he embarks on a mission with an A.I. controlled Titan named BT-7274. In addition, the game’s signature multiplayer mode returns with new Titans to pilot and maps to do battle in.

Final Fantasy XV
Adding on top of the highly anticipated games coming out this year, Final Fantasy XV is set to launch this September. The game puts you in control of Prince Noctis as he works alongside his friends to stop the forces of Niflheim and rescue the Lucis Kingdom’s crystal. The game was originally announced in 2006 as a Final Fantasy XIII spin-off called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but was later turned into a mainline entry of the Final Fantasy series.

The Last Guardian
The Last Guardian comes from the mind of Fumito Ueda, the developer behind both the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. It puts you in control of a young boy who befriends a giant hybrid creature named Trico. The two must work together to survive towering ruins filled with unknown dangers. The game was initially announced at E3 2009, but protracted development held it back from release.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice is taking its titular character to the Far East where he must work within the confines of the courtroom to uncover the truth of a new conspiracy. The game once again features series director/scriptwriter Shu Takumi, who was previously absent from the development of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies. Fans of this cult favorite series can expect to play it sometime in September.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
The Call of Duty franchise has taken us to a variety of locations over the years: Russia, Afghanistan, Nazi Germany, Cuba, and much, much more. However, Infinity Ward’s latest entry is taking us to the limitless frontier of space. The game will feature the series’ signature gunplay while adding in a host of new features, like aerial dogfights and zero gravity combat.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole
The sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth is shifting gears from wizards and dragons to the heroics of superheroes. It focuses once more on the children of South Park, who are embroiled in a tense superhero civil war. The game will feature an expanded version of the turn-based combat system from its predecessor, adding in new features, including the option to control your character anywhere within a grid to attack and the ability to manipulate the positioning of your enemies.

Steep
Steep is a new IP developed by Ubisoft Annecy, a French studio that recently collaborated on The Division. It’s an open world action sports game that features a wide range of activities, including skiing, paragliding, snowboarding, and wing suit traversal. The game is expecting to launch sometime in December.

Forza Horizon 3
It turns out the new Forza game that was expected to appear at E3 is Forza Horizon 3. The third entry of the open-world focused Forza sub-series will take players to the country of Australia; it’ll feature a variety of both sports cars and off road vehicles to drive with.

The King of Fighters XIV
SNK’s upcoming The King of Fighters XIV is set to launch this year, bringing with it an immense roster of 50 characters. The game is the first entry of the mainline KoF series to feature 3D graphics, which is a bold move considering the series has predominantly used 2D sprites for over 20 years.

Attack on Titan
The upcoming game based on the popular anime series Attack on Titan is expected to launch this August. Developed by Omega Force–the studio behind the popular Dynasty Warriors series–the game retells the events of the first season in the anime while telling additional side stories involving its ensemble cast of characters.

Monster Hunter Generations
Monster Hunter Generations is the latest entry in the popular franchise developed by Capcom. It’s a greatest hits anthology of the features from past games, compiling its best weapons, monsters, and abilities into a single experience. While older features are returning, the game is also adding new classes and the ability to play as the cat-like race known as Felynes.

I am Setsuna
I am Setsuna is an upcoming RPG designed to evoke the style of ’90s RPGs, utilizing an active-time battle system based heavily on the classic Chrono Trigger. Announced at Square Enix’s E3 press conference last year, it’s finally coming out on July 19.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is the upcoming RPG crossover between the Fire Emblem series and the Shin Megami Tensei series. The game has been a long time coming for fans, especially considering the fact it was first announced during a Nintendo Direct in 2013. Its story revolves around a group of teenagers who gain the power the merge with Mirages–spiritual entities that bare resemblance to characters from Fire Emblem.

Pokemon Sun / Moon
The upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon games look to be the most advanced versions yet. With a new graphical style, a day and night cycle, Sun and Moon look to deliver the most captivating experience we’ve seen from the series thus far. The game’s new world also offers a nice change of pace, offering an aesthetic that mixes tropical island scenery with bustling metropolitan areas.

Gravity Rush 2
The much anticipated sequel to the well-received Gravity Rush is set to launch sometime this year. The game will feature new combat upgrades and power-ups, as well as a Tag Battle System that allows you to switch between protagonist Kat and former antagonist Raven.

Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 2 has the makings for a great sequel; with its faithful recreation of San Francisco, its expanded repertoire of hacking tools, and its more likable protagonist Marcus Holloway, the game could prove to everything we wanted its predecessor to be. If you’re eager to get your hands on this much-anticipated sequel, you won’t have to wait long; it’s set to launch this November.

Cuphead
Cuphead looks to be one of the most surreal, frenetic 2D action games coming out this year. It merges classic 1930’s cartoon visuals with Contra-esque run-and-gun shooting, making for an aesthetically pleasing combination. The game follows the adventures of its titular hero as he works to defeat countless boss creatures in order to repay a bet he made with the devil.

ReCore
ReCore is an upcoming game by Comcept–the studio headed by veteran designer Keiji Inafune–and Armature Studios. This year’s E3 finally confirmed that the game is launching this September. The game puts you in control of a scavenger named Joule and her glowing blue orb companion as they embark on an adventure across a mysterious desert planet.

Gears of War 4
Gears of War is set to return this October with its fourth entry. It tells a new story starring JD, the son of series protagonist Marcus Fenix, as he takes on a new enemy that threatens the world of Sera. As the first game in the series made by new franchise developer The Coalition, the game has a lot to live up to.

Mafia III
Mafia III is the latest entry in 2K’s long running Mafia series, which started back in 2002. It puts you in control of Lincoln Clay, a mixed-race Vietnam War veteran who must re-establish the influence of the black mob in a fictional version of New Orleans during the late ’60s. The game is developed by Hangar 13, a studio lead by Lucas Arts veteran Haden Blackman.

Battlefield 1
DICE’s upcoming Battlefield 1 is taking the series back to its historical warfare roots, bringing its signature land, air, and sea combat to World War I. The game will feature dynamic weather systems along with the weapons and vehicles from the time period.
