The Android version of popular Fallout mobile game Fallout Shelter should launch sometime in August.
That’s according to Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines, who shared the release window on Twitter in an exchange with a fan.
“Coming along nice,” Hines said about the Android edition. “Haven’t announced a date, but should be out next month. We’ll let you know when we have specifics.”
Fallout Shelter was announced during Bethesda’s E3 briefing last month and was released later that evening. The free game immediately raced to the top of the charts, generating lots of revenue through microtransactions even though Bethesda claims the game is not necessarily about making money.
Just this week, Fallout Shelter added its first Fallout 4 character, Commonwealth Minutemen leader Preston Garvey, along with his Laser Musket.
Fallout 4 is due out on November 10 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
