While Grand Theft Auto V has seen no shortage of mods, this one might just end up as your favorite if you grew up in the ’80s.
The Knight Rider KITT mod does just what you would hope: Let you drive around as the talking Trans Am from the original Knight Rider TV series. While it unfortunately lacks the scanning light bar in the front of the car, it does feature voice clips William Daniels’ voice from the show.
As the fan video above demonstrates, KITT has many of the same abilities from the show: It can drive on two wheels, turbo boost, jump into the air, drive on water, and drive itself (whether you’re in the car or not). Perhaps best of all, these abilities are triggered with keys on your keyboard’s numberpad, letting you get a bit closer to feeling like you’re pressing KITT’s center-console controls.
The car is also destructible in the game, though if you see a mustache-equipped David Hasselhoff in a semi headed your way, you might want to play it safe and run away.
This mod also includes a transforming version of KITT from the 2008 version of Knight Rider, which, let’s be honest, isn’t the real highlight.
