GTA V available for pre-order for £40 at UK retailer Tesco

Retailers around the world are beginning to accept pre-orders for Rockstar’s upcoming open-world action game; UK retailer Tesco is offering customers the game for £40.

Retailers around the world have begun to offer attractive pre-order deals for Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, which will ship during spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

UK supermarket chain Tesco is offering an online pre-order deal for GTA V for £39.99 ($63.74). The retailer promises it will refund the difference to consumers should the game be sold at retail for a lower price.

Meanwhile, UK site SavyGamer is offering consumers a coupon to drop the Tesco pre-order price on GTA V by £10. Customers need to enter the code on the site at checkout on the Tesco page.

Last week, Rockstar said PC and Wii versions of GTA V are “up for consideration”. The game is due out worldwide in early 2013. The game’s setting is inspired by modern-day Los Angeles and Southern California, and will be the first major title in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV, which was originally released in 2008.
