Halo developer joins EA Visceral

Former 343 Industries project lead designer Scott Warner lands at Dead Space studio working on unannounced game.

Halo 4 project lead designer Scott Warner has joined the Electronic Arts-owned Visceral Games, the developer announced on Twitter today.

Prior to joining 343 Industries in 2009, Warner spent more than seven years at the now-defunct Pandemic Studios (Mercenaries) and three years at Black Isle Studios (Planescape: Torment).

Visceral Games shipped Dead Space 3 earlier this year. Though it failed to meet EA’s sales expectations, the franchise is “not out of rotation.”

The studio is working on an all-new Star Wars game separate from the DICE-developed Star Wars: Battlefront for next-generation consoles and PC.

The new Star Wars games from DICE and Visceral will run on the Frostbite 3 engine.
