The latest Lego set featuring Batman and Superman contains elements from the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. The set consists of two vehicles plus five minifigures. It retails for $59.99 with 517 pieces.
You can watch our Lego build time lapse video HERE.
This is everything included in the set.
The Batman figure is slightly different from past Lego Batman minifigures. The costume is closer to the movie version.
Lego Batman comes with a grappling gun.
There is a second expression for Batman.
Lego Superman is also different from past versions and based off the movie costume.
The second expression features an angrier look with Superman about to unleash his heat vision.
The Wonder Woman figure is also the movie version instead of the past traditional version.
As a warrior, Wonder Woman comes with sword and shield.
You can see the detail of her bracelets included.
Wonder Woman’s second face is a happier one.
Lois Lane looks more like Amy Adams’ movie version instead of the traditional dark-haired Lois.
Lois is wearing a business suit and comes with a camera.
Lois also comes with a second face.
Lex Luthor has hair as does the movie version. He also comes with a gun.
As shown on the box, you can have Lego Lex go bald. Is this a spoiler from the movie? Because he has a bald option, he only has one facial expression available. The back of his head is blank.
One of the vehicles is a Lexcorp helicopter for Lex.
The missiles have green tips. Could they be Kryptonite missiles?
Lex can be placed inside the helicopter.
The cockpit can be easily opened or closed.
Batman’s Batwing is the largest portion of this set.
Batman clearly believes in branding. His logo is on the vehicle.
The cockpit opens in two parts.
Both Batman and Superman have softer capes. This makes it easier to put them inside vehicles.
The cockpit closes and snaps shut. You can see Batman sitting inside through the windows.
There’s been a lot of different Lego vehicles for Batman. This Batwing has a nice design and an impressive size.
There is a lever in the back you can flip. This lets you fold the wings up.
Why do the wings fold up? Perhaps for flying in tighter spots. Maybe it’s to make parking easier.
Here’s what the Batwing looks like from the front with the wings folded up.
You can even pose Lego Superman so he can show off in front of Lego Lois.
The set also includes a mini comic.
The set is pretty cool. Sixty dollars is typical for a set of this size. The Batwing looks good. The helicopter is okay. The variety in the minifigures is a big selling point for some.
