Massive Video Game Collection Hits eBay With Asking Price of $164,000

A new listing has appeared on auction site eBay for one of the biggest video game collections I can recall. eBay user reel.big.fish has launched an auction for a set that includes more than 5,700 games (featuring basically everything released by Nintendo between 1985-2000) and 50 systems, including every Nintendo 64 color variant.

The asking price is $164,000, and the seller is not looking to break up the auction. So far, no bids have been disclosed, though the eBay auction page shows that six people have made inquiries. The seller has 100 percent positive feedback.

Most of the games featured in the auction are in used condition and show signs of wear, though the seller notes that many are in fact in “excellent to mint condition,” while some remain factory sealed. “I’ve always replaced lesser quality titles with higher quality titles as I received them,” the seller said. “So you are getting my master set.”

The auction includes mostly retro/classic games, though it also features newer systems such as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and 3DS (but not Xbox One or PlayStation 4). It even includes ill-fated devices such as Sega’s Dreamcast and Nintendo’s Virtual Boy.

A list of every game and system included in the auction is available here. You can also watch the video above to see the massive collection. The seller is hoping to ship to someone in the United States–due to the amount and weight of items being shipped.
