Microsoft’s Next Phone Could Cost as Much as an iPhone 6S

A leak from a Spanish retailer shows Microsoft’s updated Lumia, the 950 and 950 XL, will cost roughly the same as the iPhone 6S.

The now-removed link on Ecomputer showed both versions of the phone priced at €659 for the base model and €749 for the XL.

According to TechRadar, that’s the same price as an iPhone sold in France, and the prices across the continent won’t likely show too much disparity between member countries.

Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and 950 XL will reportedly have 5.2″ and 5.7″ screens, respectively, and both phones will have a 20 MP camera.

There’s a good chance that the Lumia 950 and 950XL will be officially unveiled during Microsoft’s October 6 event. Press invites for the NYC event went out earlier in the month, and the Surface Pro 4 is expected to be the big reveal for Microsoft.

Only yesterday, details on a new Microsoft wearable fitness tracker that looks to be the follow-up to the Microsoft Band leaked.
