Mortal Kombat X Dev Teases More DLC Again

Update: There wasn’t much in the way of announcements about future content during today’s livestream, but it did close out with a reference to Tremor being the end of “Kombat Pack 1.” Previously, this was only ever called the Kombat Pack, suggesting there will be at least one more. You can read a bit further into this and infer that there will at least be enough new DLC characters to comprise a second Kombat Pack. As far as specifics go, however, we’ll have to continue to wait.

Original Story: Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm Studios plans to broadcast a livestream later today where it’ll offer a gameplay breakdown on the latest DLC character, Tremor. It’s scheduled to kick off at 1 PM PDT/4PM EDT, and you can watch it below.

We got our first official look at Tremor during Evo 2015 this past weekend. NetherRealm and Warner Bros. released the trailer below and announced that owners of the Kombat Pack DLC pass will be getting access to him today, July 21.

Those who haven’t purchased the season pass have to wait an extra week; they’ll be able to purchase him on July 28. He’ll cost $5 on his own or $8 in the Tremor Bundle, which also includes the Klassic Skins Pack 2.

Whether or not you’re interested in learning more about Tremor, today’s livestream may be worth keeping an eye on. Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon recently teased that, despite being the last confirmed DLC character, more characters could be on the way. There’s a long list of existing Mortal Kombat characters who didn’t make the cut in X, not to mention the countless possibilities for more from outside the franchise.

We’ll report back with any announcements NetherRealm shares later today.
