Publisher Sega has begun to roll out the second downloadable mission pack for Alien: Isolation.
The DLC, entitled Trauma, offers a trio of new maps for Survival Mode; a single-player challenge where players must dash through custom-built locations as quickly as possible whilst being hunted.
The first Survival Mode DLC offered one map, called Basement, which GameSpot’s video team described as “beyond scary.” Now, the latest DLC comes with a trio of maps to scramble through (Reoperation, Crawl Space, and Overrun).
Trauma also puts players in the role of chief medical officer Dr Lingard, a character who is “racked with guilt and feeling responsible for bringing the creature on board.”
Developer Creative Assembly writes: “Wanting to ensure that her research on the creature can never fall into the wrong hands, Lingard sets out to destroy all the data and do as much as she can to help the remaining survivors.”
A video run-through of the Trauma mode can be found above.
