New Final Fantasy 15 Movie Images Look Gorgeous

In addition to the release of Final Fantasy XV, we’ll see a full-length feature film called Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV that takes place during the events of the video game. Now, Square Enix has updated its official website to include new details and images from the upcoming movie.

Seven of the game’s characters have been detailed, though unfortunately it’s all in Japanese. However, the images are gorgeous and, at times, look like real people instead of CG characters. You can check them out in the gallery below.

Kingsglaive stars the likes of Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), and Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones). The story begins after Final Fantasy XV protagonist Noctis starts his journey and will feature new and crossover characters from the game.

Kingsglaive is set for a July 9 release in Japanese theaters. It’ll be made available at a later date in English via streaming and download services. A physical copy of the film will be released with the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions of Final Fantasy XV.

The Collector’s Edition sold out quickly once preorders opened, and Square Enix has been working on producing more as time goes on. The company started fulfilling those who had been placed on the waiting list for one this week. More Collector’s Editions are planned, though Square Enix couldn’t confirm if those will be available by the game’s launch.
