Square Enix has released a new teaser trailer for Mobius Final Fantasy, its new mobile game that launches next week.
The video isn’t our first look at the game, which is already available in Japan, but it does offer a good look at what its combat consists of. Square Enix boasts that it features “console-quality HD visuals that push the boundaries of the mobile platform,” and while that might be a stretch–it doesn’t hold a candle to the upcoming Final Fantasy XV–it does look good for a game you’ll be playing on your phone or tablet.
Among the Final Fantasy veterans to work on Mobius are producer Yoshinore Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima, who both had a had in the development of Final Fantasy VII and are now working on its remake.
Mobius is a free-to-play game launching for iOS and Android devices on August 3. Free in-game items will be given away for launch, with the specific rewards being dictated by the number of people who pre-register on Square Enix’s website. You can see a list of what rewards await here.
