Wallets, be warned. October 2014 is going to be a massive month for high-profile video game releases. Another game–Microsoft’s ambitious game-building title Project Spark–was confirmed for a release today on October 7 for Xbox One and PC. You can see a full list of major October games below.
It’s unclear when the Xbox 360 version is coming out. A Microsoft representative told GameSpot, “Our team is focused on creating a great experience on Xbox One and Windows 8.1 first, and will then bring that to Xbox 360. We don’t have a timeline to share right now, but it’s certainly on our roadmap.”
Project Spark is currently available in open beta on Xbox One and PC for Windows 8.1 users. At launch, gamers can download the full Project Spark game on Xbox One and PC for free, but Microsoft will also offer a special paid, disc-based Xbox One version.
Titled the Project Spark Starter Pack, this $40 disc version comes loaded with the Galaxies: First Contact expansion pack, the warrior champion Sir Haakon “Hawk” character, and the first episode of the game’s campaign mode called Champions Quest: Void Storm.
The Project Spark Starter Pack also includes immediate access to other various paid content, features, and add-ons, Microsoft said. All of this digital content and more will also be available for the digital versions of Project Spark on Xbox One and PC at launch, but it’s not clear how much Microsoft will charge.
At E3 last month, Microsoft announced that beloved Rare character Conker would be available in Project Spark as a playable character.
