Microsoft gave us the chance to customize our own Xbox Design Lab controller to get it before it officially ships in September. We themed it to use our company colors. The customized controllers will start at $79.99 (and will come with free shipping) and you can customize your own design today on Microsoft’s Xbox Design Lab site.
The site features a plethora of color options and allows you to customize the color of the controller’s body, bumpers/triggers, D-pad, thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, view and menu buttons, and back. According to Microsoft, there are over 8 million color combinations to choose from. You can also get your name laser engraved on the controller for $9.99 more.
The following pictures showcase how our controller design (seen above) turned out.
We chose to have “GameSpot” etched out on the bottom of our controller. You can customize it to spell whatever you want.
The back of the Xbox One S controller features a new textured grip that feels a little like smooth sandpaper.
